Ep #3: What do I need to get started in voice acting?

Hello VO Podcast Episode #3: What do I need to get started in voice acting?

I wanted to publish this topic early on in the life of the podcast because I know this is really why you’re here.

You want to know what the heck you need to get going in one of the best creative industries out there. I get it! I did the exact same thing.

People have lots of advice and opinions on what you need to get started in voice acting so the most important thing you need to remember as you go along is this is your journey. You get to start where works best for you and your goals.

What you need to get started in voice acting:

1. A mic

2. An interface if you’re using an XLR mic

3. A DAW

Besides all the technical stuff, what else do I need to get started in voice acting?

Great question. While this may not seem surprising, you need to know how to run a voiceover business, and primarily at home due to how much ‘business as usual’ has shifted recently.
